Satpura National Park: Pachmarhi is located near Satpura National Park, which is home to various wildlife species. Tourists can go on safari rides and spot animals like tigers, leopards, deer, and a variety of bird species in their natural habitat.

Jata Shankar Caves: The Jata Shankar Caves are considered sacred because it is believed that these caves are the place where Lord Shiva took refuge to escape the anger of the demon Bhasmasur who was chasing him. It is said that inside these caves, there is a natural Shivling hidden in the shade of a large rock. Additionally, the construction of the caves is said to resemble the hundred-headed snake, Sheshnag, made of stone.
The name of these caves comes from the fact that their granite structure resembles Lord Shiva’s tangled hair. For adventurous souls, a journey to these caves is a must. To reach the cave temple, which is located about 1.5 kilometers from Pachmarhi bus station, visitors need to first trek for approximately one kilometer and then descend a total of 150 steps.

Dhoopgarh: Dhoopgarh is the highest point in the Satpura Range and is an incredible spot to witness the breathtaking sunrise and sunset.

Handi Khoh: Handi Khoh is the deepest ravine in Pachmarhi, plunging to a depth of 300 feet. It is shrouded by dense forests, and the soothing sound of trickling water can be quite calming to hear. Due to the density of the forests, the water is not visible, which is why the locals also refer to it as “Andhi Khoh,” meaning the Blind Ravine, which gives meaning to its name. The view of the valley from the constructed railings platform here is truly breathtaking.

Chauragadh Temple: Chauragadh Temple is one of the most famous temples in Pachmarhi, dedicated to Lord Shiv, also known as the Mahadev Temple. This temple is situated at an elevation of approximately 4200 feet, offering mesmerizing views of the surrounding valleys and sunrise. This is why many tourists visit this temple during their trip to Pachmarhi, as it provides a captivating view of the nearby jungles and sunrise.
The Chauragadh Temple is also known for the thousands of tridents (trishuls) offered by devotees over the years. During Mahashivaratri, a fair and grand Mahabhishek ceremony are organized, attracting a large crowd of devotees.

Apsara Vihar: Apsara Vihar, situated at the Pachmarhi Hill Station in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, is a highly attractive waterfall. This natural pool is quite beautiful and features small cascades, and it’s also known as the “Fairy Pool.” Apsara Vihar is located near the Pandav Caves and is a 30-foot high waterfall, creating an inviting pool.
